Contract signed for the execution of a Lot 4b
(Industrial Component) of the Limbe Shipyard Project .
To the uninformed person, nothing of relevance could be taking place in an administrative setting some three hours beyond official working time.
And yet, it was the moment found convenient by both parties – 8.30 p.m on Tuesday, 6 March 2007 - for the signing of the contract for the construction of a workshop and two buildings which fall under Lot 4B of the Limbé Shipyard Project.
This contract signed between CNIC and the executing company - FOKOU FOBERD, brought together its President Director - General, Mr. FOKOU Bernard, his Project Manager, Supervising Engineer and other assistants as well as CNIC’s General Manager, Mr. Z. M. FORJINDAM, the Director of the Taskforce - CNIC and other Directors at CNIC.
Also present during the signing were the Limbé Shipyard Project Lead Consultant, Mr. MEROUCHI and Mr. NANA representing the funding institution – the Islamic Development Bank (IDB).
Speaking before the signing and exchange of documents, CNIC’s General Manager used the opportunity to assure them of the collaboration of CNIC staff and once more emphasize that: “The respect of Safety norms, conformity to specified construction standards and the respect of deadlines are, as you are aware, of vital importance to us”
On his part, the President Director General of FOKOU FOBERD underscored determination of his company to execute the contract to the best professional standards, in compliance with prescribed safety rules so as to promote the credibility of his firm and its ability to execute important projects.
