CNIC completes servicing of “SEADRILL7”, rehabilitated rig becomes “West Tit Ania”
Repair works undertaken at CNIC’s Douala repairs site on the Singaporean jack-up rig – “SEADRILL 7” were recently completed.
The works executed over a period of 8 weeks (6 Feb - 30 March 2007) and absorbing a pluri-disciplinary workforce of up to 260 at the peak of repairs consisted mainly in elaborate Steel works, Hull treatment, Piping, Blasting and Painting.
This jack-up rig brought to CNIC for servicing from its worksite in Nigerian oil fields had made a brief stop over at CNIC’s Limbe new industrial facility where inspection was conducted to determine the scope of rehabilitation works.
Also significant was the decision by its owners to rechristen the rehabilitated rig as
“West Tit Ania”. |
