The Cameroon Oil and Transportation Company (COTCO), a subsidiary of the Multinational petroleum Company - EXXON MOBIL, will soon sign an exclusive maintenance contract with the Cameroon Shipyard and Industrial Engineering Ltd ( CNIC) for diverse technical works on the FSO Kombi-Kribi 1 (FSO KK1).

The contract, which has a five-year duration, comes after more than one year of regular maintenance works executed on the FSO KK1 by CNIC specialists.

While announcing the imminent contract to CNIC’s Offshore Management, COTCO authorities stated that their company has decided to confide its technical maintenance operations on this sensitive petroleum facility to CNIC in recognition of both its quality services and outstanding safety record.

It is useful to note that COTCO Management has frequently commended CNIC for these achievements and early this year, 15 th March 2007, the company’s Management conferred on CNIC a certificate of recognition for its safety performances .
