Excerpts of Chief M. M. OTTO's Speech
The Divisional Officer Limbe, Divisional Delegate Secondary Education FAKO, Divisional Delegate Basic Education, Principals here present, All Protocol respected, Ladies and Gentlemen,
It gives me great joy to welcome you all here to this maiden school grants award. I am particularly grateful to "Chantier Naval" for making these funds available. In the nearest future, we are going to embark on other amenities that will touch the greater part of the Batoke population; Renovation of G.S Batoke, the Health Centre, Rehabilitation of the Water System and Developing of the road network in Batoke Village; All these from funds from "Chantier Naval".
When these amenities were conceived, we the Batoke Traditional Council and I thought of selecting 4 clever students and offering them scholarships for 5 years but after a thorough reflection and considering the circumstances under which the funds for amenities have been allocated, we thought of enlarging the beneficiaries of these funds embarked for education. That is why all of you are here.
We have tried to touch as many people as possible. I hope the beneficiaries will make proper use of these grants to make the Government and "Chantier Naval" proud and the education family happy.
Once more, I welcome you and thank you for accepting to witness this occasion.
Thank You All
