As the execution of works on the construction of the breakwater component (Lot1) of the Limbe Shipyard Project registers significant progress, the mobilisation of Dredging International Ltd for the commencement of dredging works (Lot 3) was recently given a strong booster.
In this regard, the Dredger - code-named "NAUTILUS" from the Netherlands arrived at the Limbe Project site on saturday, 12 November 2005.

This ultra-modern specialized equipment constructed in 1996 and classified as a Deep Sea Hopper Dredger has a total length of 82.02 meters and a width of 18 meters. On the strength of its technical specifications, this auto-propelled dredger with an overall capacity of 3880 tonnes constitutes a major asset for the effective commencement of the execution of Lot 3 of the Project.
It is relevant to recall that the contract for dredging works was awarded to Dredging International Ltd of Belgium on 15 September 2005 and the commencement of works will have become effective barely two months after the signing of the contract.
