Signing of a contract for the construction of a quay 400 meters long and 12 meters deep between Six Construct Co. Ltd and the Cameroon Shipyard and Industrial Engineering Plc.
In the late afternoon hours of Thursday, 1st September 2005 in the sobriety of the meeting room of the General Manager of CNIC, away from cameras, pressmen and microphones, a deed was accomplished that marks another significant milestone for the Limbe Shipyard Project.
This deed was the signing of a contract for the construction of a quay 400 meters long and 12 meters deep between Six Construct Co. Ltd. - a renowned international firm from the United Arab Emirates and the Cameroon Shipyard and Industrial Engineering plc. (CNIC).
During this signing ceremony which bears further testimony to the credibility that CNIC enjoys from its international partners in the execution of the Limbe Shipyard Project, Six Construct Co. Ltd. - was represented by Mr. Marc DANAUX while CNIC was represented by its General Manager - Mr FORJINDAM Zacchaeus flanked by some of his close collaborators.
Although, the signing ceremony was made deliberately sober, there was another noticeable presence apart from representatives of the contracting parties. This presence was that of the Lead Consultant for the Project - INROS LACKNER AG represented by Mr. MILOUD MEROUCHI.

According to the terms of the contract, the assignment of Six Construct Co. Ltd. shall be executed within a period of nineteen (19) months while the overall financial portfolio stands at USD 14,779,991 (approximately CFA 8 milliard). The signing of this contract and the subsequent execution of the works defined therein will bring CNIC officials, Cameroonian State Authorities, Funding Institutions and other advocates of the project to another concrete milestone along the path of transforming the dream of this giant project into reality.
