The Cameroon Shipyard and Industrial Engineering Ltd. recently organised a three-day training course from Monday, 28th through Wednesday, 30th November on the repair and maintenance of WOMA pumps.
This training course that brought together 15 participants - essentially Mechanics - from the Maintenance Department had as main resource person Mr. Ludiger LETSCH, a service Engineer from WOMA Germany.
During this exercise, training focussed, amongst other aspects, on the repair of High pressure guns, the testing of the HP Unit #7, practical demonstrations on the overhauling of this unit and the use of correct nozzles for the HP gun which has a direct impact on the water pressure and washing quality.
According to CNIC’s Head of Equipment and Maintenance Department (CDEO) - Mr. ADIKARI - who also served as a course resource person, Mr. Ludiger LETSCH revealed and corrected the shortcomings observed in the maintenance and repair of the HP units by CNIC mechanics. Assessing the quality of the training he stated:
“All participants confirmed that they learnt a lot thanks to the expertise of the WOMA Engineer and expressed appreciation to Management for this initiative”.
