After more than a decade of inactivity, CNIC and Tidewater Inc have agreed to rekindle cooperation ties. On April 29, 2026, the Vice- president of the American company visited the two Shipyards sites of Douala and Limbe, during which Mr Willian WAYNE took a firm resolution to restart activities with CNIC.
It was an opportunity for the Interim General Manager of CNIC, Mr WEBNJOH Abel BOBUIN BISIYA to remind Tidewater’s Vice- president that CNIC still possess all the technical capacity to execute marine and industrial jobs as in the past.
The visibly elated Tidewater boss assured CNIC management that his company was not only going to resume activities with CNIC, but will go an extra mile to create a base in Cameroon for easy coordination. This has been seen as one of the most striking achievements of Mr WEBNJOH, barely few weeks after taking over command as Interim General Manager.
