The minister of transport, Mr Jean Ernest MASSENA NGALLE BIBEHE was in Douala June 22, 2026 to welcome key potential partners and investors of the Cameroon shipyard and Industrial Engineering Ltd(CNIC).
The first to be received in the Conference room of CNIC was a delegation from OCEA Group, made up of MAHANG Gabriel, Michel FAKJON, Paul-Eric JOIN and Fabrice WEINBACH. In the exchange that was simultaneously coordinated by the Minister and the Interim General Manager, Mr WEBNJOH Abel Bobuin Bisiya, Interim General Manager, the fact-finding visitors were told that CNIC’s central location in the coast of West Africa remain a big asset.
The same scenario prevailed in the afternoon when the delegation of Tidewater and GLO MARINE comprised of Bill Scott, Dave Evans, Bojan Grivici( Tidewater) Radu Procop, Dan Marin and Emil Chivu(GLO MARINE) visited.
Like the OCEA Groupe, the Tidewater delegation led by their Vice President Mr Bill Scott (engineering), visited all the key sites of CNIC in Douala and Limbe and expressed total satisfaction. As at now, CNIC and its potential partners from France and America are deliberating on operation formalities in view of sealing a final partnership deal.
Meantime, before leaving Douala, Transport minister assured the two delegations that the government was solidly committed to revamp CNIC and that they can count on total government’s support.
